Urban Experience
여의도 시범아파트의 발코니는 외부로 향한 뷰를 최대한 확보하는 방식으로 설계되었다. 발코니 난간 하부에 열린 긴 띠창은 거주자가 아파트 내부에서 녹지 및 외부공간을 아래로 내려 볼 수 있는 방식으로 디자인되었다. 특히 단지 전면에 길게 면하는 주동 내부에서 발코니 띠창으로 통해 진입광장으로 향하는 외부로의 조망은 거주민에게 하늘을 향해 솟아있는 수직 철재 조형물과 이를 반사하는 수공간, 그리고 광장을 가로질러가는 사람들과 자동차가 보이는 도시적 성격의 광장을 바라보는 것과 같은 경험을 제공한다.
The balconies of the Yeouido Sibum Apartments are designed to maximize the outdoor view. The balcony walls have a series of openings at the bottom to enable residents to look down at the green and open areas. In particular, the downward view of the entrance square from the apartment units provides residents with the urban experience of vertical monuments, water pools reflecting the surrounding high-rise buildings, and the urban square inhabited by people and cars.
